still recovering

what would I do without family?

still not up to snuff. thought about coming back but am just going to take it easy this week end.

I'm looking forward to seeing my nephew, niece, and their daughter, and my sister Linda who is down visiting.

I came down here to spend time to get to know some of the family I don't usually see and to try to encourage them if possible. So far, haven't been doing a very good job at the encouraging end

My packing skills are pitiful. Hopefully I'll get better at.

Have a great and safe New Years Eve.

I'm here

Got to S.C. in good time. I stopped 4 times to rest and arrived at dialysis 2 hours early.

My dialysis didn't go too well. My new catheter of 2 weeks hadn't been working very good, and Monday was no exception. tbe doctor told me I had to have a new catheter put in so Tuesday my son took me to Greenville Memorial hospital for catheter surgery. the people were great, everything went well and I'm up and running. we'll see how dialyisis goes today.

More to follow.... it's getting late

Week here I come!!!!

I'll be traveling after Christmas down south.  I'll have more details after I talk to my son first!

The trip will be around the USA starting in the Carolinas, across the southern states.  Because  I need to have dialysis 3 time per week, I need to have these places set up 6 weeks in advance for each place.  (please pray for me about this)

Right now I am going out to take out the camper to practice backing up at some abandoned parking lot.  I'll get a picture to put on the site.

Here's the plan....

I've been wanting to spend some time at the ocean. My sister and I have been looking for a camper for come time now. The camper is 11 feet long, has a stove, refrigerator, and sink. It sleeps 4 people (not my size!) I will pull it behind my minivan. We have pulled it about 70 miles and it pulls well.

We'll leave the wheelchair in the van, as it has a ramp for it.

I have a Garmin GPS so I don't get lost, plus I have the same on my phone (just in case!)

I'm planning on taking short trips from one place to the other, Camping and staying at relatives if possible. Planning on moving as expenses allow it.

I have to have my dialysis clinics plaaned out 6 weeks in advance at each place.
If get sick I'll go to the hospital.

This will be a once in a lifetime trip and I'm very excited!

My first leg will probably be to go won with my son in S.C. then go to other son in N.C

That's my dream. I have a lot of logistics to work out.
I'd appreciate your prayers and suggestions.
